PANEL/SPEAKER INVITATION

Inside Address
Dear
(Mr. Ms., Dr.)
The (Sponsoring
Organization) club in our area, in partnership with Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY), is bringing together a select group of high school student
(freshmen) to learn more about leadership and "America's Incentive
System." The attendees will be ___ of our outstanding young people from
___ public and private high schools in ___ counties.
Speakers
at the HOBY Community Leadership Workshop (CLEW) will be community leaders in
business, science, education, government and the professions. Because of your
outstanding achievements and concern for our community, you are invited to
participate as a panelist during this workshop, where you would be joined by
two or three of your associates. Please consider giving a five minute
presentation on, The Future of Education, Saturday, November 16, 1995 8:30
a.m., Civic Center Auditorium.
If
you are unfamiliar with HOBY's format, five minutes may seem too short a time
for you to present. However, immediately following the presentation there will
be a general 30 minute question and answer period. This is followed by 30
minutes of small group discussion, of which you would be a part as well.
The
key to these workshops is interaction and participation by the students. Hugh
O'Brian began his youth leadership program in 1958, and (organization) has
endorsed it for many years. (Local service organizations name) is pleased to
sponsor the program right here in our own community, and I know the students
will be excited to have you speak to them.
I
will call in a few days to confirm your participation. Thank you.
Sincerely,
